The Art Market
Keeping true to our Maidstone roots, inspired by the historic Market and loosely based on the success of “The Art car boot fair”, the “Art Market” provides a public platform to all artists, organisations, collectives and galleries across Kent and the South East. Open to all art disciplines the Art Market gives exhibitors an opportunity to sell their work to the public, build a relationship with potential buyers, galleries and curators. With an informal approach to the fair we hope to engage a wider audience to celebrate and enjoy the arts.
Us
Making Art Work are a small arts co-operative based in Maidstone, Kent. We offer a welcoming, supportive artistic community that aims to work to the highest professional standards and to cultivate a culture of innovation. We achieve this through regular meet-ups, a programme of professional talks and development workshops and by holding exhibitions and collaborative projects with other artists’ groups in and beyond Maidstone.
